Mission Statement
APDU is committed to helping users identify public data that meet their needs and apply those data in cost-effective and appropriate ways; to establish effective two-way communication between data producers and users; and to bring the perspectives and concerns of public data users to bear on important issues of government information and statistical policy.

Organizational Background/Description
For more than 25 years, APDU has been a national network linking the users, producers, disseminators, and archivists of government statistical data. Our members--though diverse and representing the varied perspectives of the academic, government, non-profit, and corporate sectors--share a vital and ongoing concern about the collection, dissemination, preservation and interperetation of public data.
