Mission Statement
The Aspen Institute is a global forum that convenes leaders from diverse disciplines to address critical issues that confront societies, organizations, and individuals. Utilizing the rigorous discipline of informed dialogue and inquiry, the Institute's seminar and policy programs enhance the participants' ability to think clearly about such issues, mindful of the primacy of the moral perspective and the importance of differing viewpoints.

Organizational Background/Description
Founded in 1950, the Aspen Institute is a non-profit organization with offices in Aspen, Colorado; Chicago, Illinois; New York, New York; Queenstown, Maryland; Santa Barbara, California; and Washington, D.C. Its conference facilities are located in Aspen, Colorado, and on the Wye River on Maryland's Eastern Shore. The Aspen Institute operates internationally through a network of partners in Europe and Asia.
