Mission Statement

The mission of the Association of Teacher Educators is to improve the effectiveness of teacher education through leadership in the development of quality programs to prepare teachers, by analyzing issues and practices relating to professional development, and by providing opportunities for the personal and professional growth of Association members.

Individuals who have a part or an interest in the professional, sociological, psychological, and personal growth and development of those who will be or are teachers; professional associations and learned societies; government agencies.  Provides professional growth opportunities for all persons concerned with teacher education; promotes quality teacher education programs.
