Mission Statement
Cable in the Classroom’s mission is to foster the use of cable content and technology to expand and enhance learning opportunities for children and youth.

Organizational Background/Description
Cable in the Classroom is the nonprofit education foundation of the cable industry. We believe in and advocate for the visionary, sensible and effective use of media and technology and for the widespread teaching of media literacy skills. Supported by local cable companies and by national cable networks, our work focuses on helping teachers, students and parents capitalize on the educational potential of media and technology. More than 81,000 schools receive rich video and online resources provided, free, by 8500 local cable companies and 39 national cable networks.
