Mission Statement
The mission of the ERIC Clearinghouse on Information and Technology
(ERIC/IT) is to acquire, select, catalog, index, and abstract documents and journal articles in library and information science and educational technology scope areas for input into the ERIC database.  ERIC/IT also provides reference and retrieval services, develops information analysis products, conducts workshops and makes presentations, and generates links within the educational community.

Each year, ERIC/IT publishes monographs, digests, and minibibliographies in the fields of educational technology and library and information science.  Our semi-annual newsletter, ERIC/ITNetworkers, provides helpful information for using ERIC-related resources on the Internet.

Organizational Background/Description
ERIC/IT is one of 16 clearinghouses in the Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC) system.  Central ERIC is located within the Office of Educational Research and Improvement (OERI), U.S. Department of Education, and the National Library of Education (NLE).
